My favorite time of the month, December 2016 Ipsy Unboxing! For those of you who have never heard of Ipsy, it is a monthly subscription. It costs $10 per month and in return you receive a makeup bag with 4-5 samples. I love it and it is always worth the $10! When you sign up they have you take a little quiz to give you products that you will like. Then each month you can review everything you’ve received so they can adjust what they send you. I highly recommend this monthly subscription!

I absolutely love this month’s bag! It is a deep pink/red color that is so perfect for the holidays. It also has a very smooth fuzzy feeling that I love. Attached is a shiny pink handle that makes the bag look so nice. Definitely one of my favorite bags from Ipsy!

The first thing I pulled out of the bag was this Mad Lash black mascara. I love having lots of small mascaras to keep in my purse. I also enjoy trying different types of mascara so I know exactly what I like and don’t like. The wand is very long with a slight curve. It has a lot of bristles, but they are kind of short which worried me.

When I tried it:

At first I loved it a lot! It made my lashes look longer and very dark, which I love. And it lasted all day! The second day I was running late for work and just wanted to put mascara on real quick. I’m not sure if I applied it wrong or what, but my lashes were so clumpy! I decided to try one more day and on my third day it worked great again… I want to continue to use it because when it works, it works great!

The next thing in my bag was this pink beauty sponge from mint pear. I have never heard of them, but I love discovering new brands. The sponge feels very soft and squishy so I had high hopes for it!

When I tried it:

I really loved this sponge! It is not as good as the beauty blender, but I was very happy with it. While running water over the sponge it got bigger, but remained soft and squishy. It applied my foundation really well. I plan on looking into repurchasing this depending on the price!

Next I pulled out a snow cream moisturizer from Symphony Beauty. Again I have never heard of this brand, but I love new skin products. It is a very small size and I will only be able to get a few uses from it, but this will be nice to just throw in my purse.

When I tried it:

This moisturizer made my skin feel so soft! It dried really quickly which I love and it barely had a scent. It is a small size so I plan on keeping it in my purse because I am always needing lotion in this cold, dry winter weather.

This item is what I was most excited for in this bag. Maracuja oil from Tarte! It is oil for your hands, face and, neck. The oil can also be used for your cuticles or split ends. The packaging is absolutely adorable and I am excited to try it!

When I tried it:

So excited to continue using this oil. It made my skin feel really smooth and did such a good job at moisturizing it! I did not like the smell of it, but it wasn’t strong at all. It also dried really quickly so that’s a huge plus.

The last thing in this month’s bag is an eye shadow in the shade melting maple from M Princess. It is a beautiful gold sparkly color. I normally don’t like powdered eye shadows as much as pressed ones.

When I tried it:

The color is so beautiful and pigmented! I’m not sure how often I will reach for it just because it is a powdered eye shadow. However, it lasted all day (even on my oily eyelids) and barely transferred at all!

Let me know what you thought of the products you received in this month’s Ipsy bag! Also if you did a December 2016 Ipsy Unboxing, send me the link!
